Why own a dog that causes you stress?
By understanding how your dog communicates, you can have a well trained and enjoyable dog.
Humans are far more intelligent than canines; yet, we expect the dog to learn our language and acclimate to our world. All dogs are born with certain instincts, but none of these instincts informs the dog how to deal with a shut door, a car, or that a knock on the door is not a threat to his survival.
Being that dogs, by their natural instincts, do not understand the world of mankind, it makes sense for dog owners to learn about their dog’s methods of communication and how their instincts shape the way they act. You do not need to become an expert on canine behavior, but taking some time to learn the basic behaviors of your dog, will produce a better relationship between you and your pet.
Training becomes easier, problem behaviors fade and the bond between you and your dog becomes greater.
